1. Building permit renewal fees public hearing

After opening the hearing, Building Inspector Winter explained the changes in the proposed law.

a. When the owner of an expired permit has passed final inspection and all necessary third party   

b. For  expired permits that  have not received final inspection, the permits are deemed to have expired on December 1, 2013.  In effect, this means that someone renewing a permit after that date will have to pay a renewal fee .

 

The hearing was closed and the law unanimously approved.

 

2. Selected resolutions passed unanimously

a. $45,000  budget transfer in the legal department to cover outside counsel litigation fees.

b. Declared parkland a parcel butting Lake Osceola that was given to the town as part of the approval for the new medical office building on Hill Blvd. 

c. approved vacation buyouts for some department heads without specifying the names.

d. approved a contract for $10,000 with the Mohansic Grils Basketball, retroactive to January 1, 2013.

 

3. Cording Road

The Board briefly discussed the paving issue again. As only one of the two affected homeowners was present (the one objecting to the paving), the Board postponed the discussion until next week and some Board members will try to visit the site.
